Our 4th opportunity to complete the Tub2Pub challenge was off to a good start this morning. Gill met up with Teklay and Atsiba and promised them a scenic route to the Jolly Topers. The sun was shining and they agreed that a walk through the woods would make a nice change. What we hadn't anticipated was the amount if mud we'd encounter. But we got through it unscathed and were soon on our way to meet up with Abdulrahman and Mogammed and delivered our tubs atvthe bar. Meanwhile Laura was off to the Bakers Arms in Stewardstone to deliver her tub, while Ella followed in our footsteps later in the afternoon with a trip to the Jolly Topers.

This was week 3 of the Tub2Pub challenge and we are still managing to find empty chocolate tubs. No... it's not that we're eating all these chocs, but managing to find empty tubs at work, with family and friends. Gill, Nuriya and Omar took a walk up to the Jolly Topers on Tuesday after completing a kitchen cleaning task. Ella collected a lot of tubs from her work and dropped them off at the Biscot Mill on her way home on Thursday. Laura was next , and took a trip to The Tawny Owl in Bletchley on Saturday after completing Park Run. Sunday's delivery was made by Abulrahman, Mohammed and Teklay who were joined by Omar, Gill and Nuriya in the park and walked up to Biscot Mill balancing their tubs on their heads - as an additional challenge to see who could walk the furthest before tumbling their tubs! While Lucie did a solo walk to the Jolly Toppers .

It was good to welcome a team of 8 GoodGymers to help the residents with the Lonodn Road Litter Pick. Despite the drizzly conditions, we had an interesting time making the lower half of London Road clean and tidy, and including the car park at the medical centre - which always gives us plenty to keep us busy. We filled a couple of bags each, and even found a television, a kitchen work top and a massive mirror to add to the pile of bags. The local team were so pleased to have us helping out to keep this major entrance road to Luton looking clean and welcoming. Well done team.

Our GoodGym team were on duty at the Warwick Road Hall to help with the Sri Guru Ravidas Sangat Temple's New Year Party on e again. Our initial duty was to be be on the door: welcoming the guests, checking off the tickets, and selling tickets to anyone who had jot bought one in advance. All the guests received a warm welcome from the team and were shown to their seats with a smile. Throughout the evening we tidied up after each course of the meal and also helped with organisation of the raffle. In fact raffle tickets sales went so well Gill was sent out to buy more tickets. As the party neared the end, with our usual GoodGym efficiency, we took charge if clearing up - stacking chairs, clearing the tables and sweeping the hall. Some of us even managed to find time to join the last guests in some dancing. Sanjeev commended us all for our support throughout the year in the various tasks at the temple we've completed and wished the whole of GoodGym Luton a happy new year.
