8 Goodgymers joined up with 3 CRT volunteers to get cracking on tidying up the towpath.
Mel, Dave, Lindsay, Lynn and Julie along with CRT Pete collected between them 11 bags of rubbish. Today's pick of the day seemed to be bags of prawns (thrown into the river). Jen, Nick, Mohamed and CRT Alison and Rich worked on clearing the weeds off the towpath.
After lots of hard work the teams completed their tasks leaving the towpath looking spik and span.
Mohamed ran 11km to the task today, well done for getting fitter whilst doing good!

Not even the rain could stop this brilliant bunch from getting stuck in at Saffron Acres today! Armed with gloves, loppers, and determination, half of us took on the tangled brambles and helped clear the way for the community space, the other half chopped the brambles ready for composting.
A big shoutout to Dave for keeping his word and sorting out the broken tap on the water butt, Saffron really appreciated it. Great job, Dave!
Also for Mo, who’s just completed his third good deed, clocking in an impressive 9km run. Keep up the efforts Mo!
As a well earned reward, we did a bit of foraging and came away with some tasty autumn treats 🍎🍏 nature’s way of saying thanks.
Weldone everyone we really made a difference yet again and the rain didn't stop play.

Six superstar GoodGymmers hit the Age UK Superstore in Leicester this week, ready to roll up their sleeves for another productive morning of volunteering.
Our tasks? Sorting play pens of tops into short sleeve and long sleeve piles and untangling a jungle of hangers, complete with size cubes. Precision, patience, and plenty of laughter got the job done.
A good catch up for everyone, lots of stories of the Equinox24 a 24hr trail race, from midnight Mel marshalling duties soaked in rain and windswept to Stu's amazing milestone of hitting 60k over six laps, he was well prepared with 1000 miles of training.
A massive well done team, everyone got stuck in as always more hands making a lighter load. Age UK are always full of praise for the difference we make. From sorting sleeves to swapping stories, we proved once again that teamwork makes the dream work!
