Firstly, a big warm welcome to GoodGym Portsmouth to Judy, Nick and Alison. Lovely to have you join us today. Please tell others about us and share/follow our social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Tonight we headed south to St Swithuns School to a task that happened because Maura's son attends the school and she told them all about us. Thank you Maura! The caretaker, Chris, had thought about all the different jobs he wanted us to do and came up with a great selection:
Wow - lots of work done as ever by the team. Chris was so impressed that he's invited us back again! We were rewarded with a drink of squash before heading back to the community centre. We missed out on doing too many fitness moves as no-one wanted to leave the task (I think you do it on purpose!). Hopefully Daryl will have some nice ones up his sleeve for you next week!
So same time, same place next week just a different face in charge for one week only! You're heading north the Naomi House to help in the charity shop again - it was great fun last time so back to finish what you started. Sign up here
Have a fab fortnight and keep on running.
Katie :)

Just to mix it up this evening, we met up at Hilsea Lido. This meant that we could go for a lovely run round Foxes Forest and the Hilsea ramparts before getting stuck into our task. We even managed to find a couple of "hills" and visit the highest point on Portsea Island... the top of the bridge!
A big welcome to GoodGym tourist Oisin and newcomer Emily. Great to welcome Lisa as well - former GG trainer for Ealing, now living down in our part of the world and no longer working on a Wednesday evening!
Post-woodland run we set to work at the Lido. Val had already made a start on the sweeping. Other jobs included watering (the tomatoes are looking good now); getting up to the roof to attach flag tubes; re-hanging lifebelts and generally tidying up around the place. If anyone has any other ideas or things they'd like to do around the Lido/Blue Lagoon, let me know.
After the task a few people had a swim in the pool and we then opened our lunch boxes, compared dinners and finished off with a slice of cake to celebrate Laura's birthday. Don't forget to let me know if you have a birthday coming up ... it gives me an excuse to bake!
I took quite a few action shots this evening - all the pictures can be seen on our Facebook page
Great work again by the gang and nice to have a chance to catch up afterwards too.
Happy running everyone. Next week, we head south to a new task. Sign up here!
