13' runners joined us at Upton Court Park for a relaxing fitness session.
Jean and Nisha a massive Happy Birthday to you both.
Quick warm up to 2M and back followed by star jumps, spotty dogs, jump ups, arm circles, high knees and so on, followed by 2 groups. Group 1 started with squats whilst group 1 doing side steps along the over grown grass, alternating between the group. Swiftly moving onto our speedy hills, you are were all fantastic 5x hill sprints. Sut even managed 1x hill sprint. Lastly onto the rugby club 30 seconds on back and forth to the white lines.
Nice gentle job back to 2K marker with a nice cool down and sing a long.
We have our last fitness session next Monday with Ricky leading. https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/fitness-in-the-park-c4204bea-2726-40a3-bc01-bc4209e1cb9c.

Lets start by saying that Ricky hasn't written this report....
You get 10 less burpees if you can work out who did!
The Warm-Up
Come dressed for the Andes so no need to warm up! But incase you came in proper run gear then off to the gate it was for the gentle warm up.
The Hills
I bet you're not glad the motorway bridge is open now hey! 5 Rockstar Rickstar hill reps done and off they ran to the Rugby Club
On Speed
Hey its Slough!
Next stage of fitness is to test your speed.
The RikStar says no one listened to him but we had 2 teachers in tonight so how can that be???
Tricepettes
I spotted a few tricep dips going on. Oh the pain you will feel tomorrow!
Baby got back
After those lunges and squats you deffo will!
You're pushing it now RockStar
Back to upper body with bench push ups. Before heading back to base and cooling down.
Well done ladies (and Ricky) for braving the hail and rain for a Rikstar session
(He wont ask me to write the report again!)

Great to see 8 GoodGym members come out from the Shelter of the Storm for their weekly dose of fitness.
Come rain or shine we knew a few wouldn’t mind getting Wet Wet Wet
With a nice warm up planned, the team were Singing in the Rain as we started our easy run, tempo run, easy run technique to the Rugby grounds.
With no Umbrella to keep them dry, they embraced the run challenge. Little did they know we had more fitness work planned!
A few arm movement techniques thrown in for good measure, I’m sure I even heard some Laughter in the Rain!
Next onto the cone challenge, with short bursts of different exercises at each coloured cone, even Stormski couldn’t squat like Jean, whilst others were going mad like AC/DC and burning some energy like Lightning Strikes!
I did have to ask Why does it always rain on me?! But I know not to be disheartened by the weather in the UK.... I quite like it when a few Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head
Next we did some agility work! Working on our speed skill and movement skills. Some of the team were going crazy like it was Raining Men But it was only Ricky tonight ... don’t know where the rest of the blokes are these days??
Then came the strength work. Lunges sets to prepare those legs for all the techniques we learnt! We were like Riders in the Storm by the time we finished!
Great effort everyone... not sure I mentioned the weather in the report but we got drenched.... back to Ricky next week.

Another lovely albeit a little damp walk from The Myrke into Eton, enjoying the scenery and the chit chat.
On our return to The Myrke I asked the ladies if they wanted to do some resistance band exercises - no one 'resisted' so I cracked on with showing them how to do chest flys, lat pull downs, shoulder extensions, tricep extensions and lower leg exercises which activate the glutes.
A few new exercises for the team to practise!

What an enjoyable session that was!
We started off well with a level of running along the Jubilee, but soon decided that our stories were more interesting so slowed down to a gently plod then inevitably a walk.
Along came a coffee shop and hey presto thats where we ended up! My kinda training session!
So good to catch up with everyone! And lovely to have Sunita and Agnija join us too!
