Saturday 4th April

Tatielly earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Tatielly completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Tatielly was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Our April Saturday trip to our sponsored riverside plot at Buccleuch Gardens, led by Susannah. This time the area was really showing the joys of spring with everything in abundance, including a variety of weeds! Lots to do for our group of happy chatty GoodGymmers for the long Easter bank holiday weekend, including first timers Rory and Jenna, welcome!
Leaves were removed from the lawn, beds were weeded, saplings pulled and the beautiful tulips were given space to breathe, an excellent impact all before midday on a Saturday! 🐣🐰

This evening's task had all the emotions as we chopped, diced, sliced and peeled our way through mushrooms, onions, celery and cheese sandwiches! After a food delivery from City Harvest, it was all hands in to make sure food was prepped before the freezer, ready to feed the hungry hoards over the Easter holiday at AFC Powerstation.

A trip out to Mortlake this Monday evening to help with some cutting and laminating for recipe cards at AFC Powerstation. Spring has just sprung and with that comes with warm welcome of more comfortable temperatures, longer daylight hours and shorts for running!
This evening we welcomed Tatielly for the first time at what turned out to be a perfect first time task: lots of chance to chat and do DBS checks for social visits alongside doing good for the amazing work they do at Achieving for Children.
In addition, it may not be one of the t-shirt milestones but its certainly a big one as Jp hit 750 tasks! What a massive contribution to Richmond-upon-Thames ❤️
