What a lovely morning! The famous red and yellow of the DHL van pulled up along side the church and - to everyone’s surprise - it was full to the brim with crates and creates of food donations. We almost didn’t have space for everything! At least triple what they usually get, apparently (and they usually receive plenty).

The whole team had their work cut out but this only meant that more families had fresh, healthy and plentiful food for the week. (Plus - our biceps feel that little bit firmer today!)

This task supported
South Ealing Community Food Cupboard
The SEC Food Cupboard will offer good quality surplus food items to anyone who would like to come and collect them for their personal use.

The SEC Food Cupboard is a community project set up to reduce waste. A group of local volunteers receives/collects surplus food from the supermarkets (Eg via Felix Project) and makes it available to anyone and everyone from the local area. The SEC Food Cupboard is available to all – its aim is purely to reduce waste and everyone can help with that. Always Free! The selection of food items each week will vary according to what is surplus food on that day.

Thank you very much for the report Dora - it's great to read and see how the team is getting on at the Monday food cupboard tasks. It looks like it was a solid work that morning. Great job everyone!
