Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Sarah
8 Goodgymmers met at B-inspired Food Share as the morning was very wet, todays task was to sort their food containers for Food Share to keep track of what stock they have available for people in need. A special day today as my running friend introduced her work friends at Youth Sport Trust who are allocated time to use to volunteer in the community they were Amanda AliceSarahHannah and Lucy. Their help today was very much appreciated as today's task was very much a case of more hands make for lighter load.
The whole team got straight into it working together, being researchers their organisation was top notch and it was really nice to see the regular GoodGymmers working with the Youth Sport Trust too all together, they were inspired by Ian and Stu's running fitness and pleased to hear Lucy won a canicross race at the weekend fantastic and also Stu claiming 2nd in his age catergory at a very hilly trail half marathon in Wales, such an inspiration.
After a good strength work out and creating a whole spreadsheet for each crate our job was done, over 1040 cans of beans and just as many peas! Nice to hear that they will be traded with other local foodbanks now they know how much stock they have.
Weldone team, we've worked well with B-inspired many times now and they always really appreciate everyone's hard work and giving your time to such a worthy cause. Hope to see some of our new members again, it was really great having you all come along today, weldone all.
