23 GoodGymers ran 5km to leaflet for SPCA and garden for Cecil Sharp House

Welcome along to newbies Josh, Simon and Francesca! Lovely to have you along.

In the news this week:

  1. A massive well done to CJ who hit 50 good deeds last night, she is a fantastic member whose been coming to GG for over 2 years! Well done!
  2. On Saturday there is May's Long Run led by the wonderful Mark - tour of the South's Parks - see details here
  3. Meanwhile on Sunday there is a Community Mission helping CREOS which finishes with a free picnic!
  4. 90 of us from GoodGym went to Sofia at the weekend to race, party and cheer. It was fantastic! Next year we are going to Kiev.

Cecil Sharp House Report:

15 of us headed to the home of English Folk Song and Dance for our monthly task to help with the permaculture garden.

Susannah explained the huge impact we have made the charity, which we've been he long for nearly 3 years! We split into the following teams:

  • Steve led a sweeping team along the front drive, collecting up all the moss, debris and weeds.
  • Rachael did a brilliant job of watering the front garden!
  • Everyone else was out back clearing the cracks, weeding and sweeping

Over 30 minutes we had made a huge impact in our community. After a group picture we headed to Primrose Hill for a fitness session in pairs - fun!

Double Trouble

SPCA Leafleting from Abi:

7 goodgymmers distributed leaflets for the st pancras community association, detailing their community events for the coming months. We flyered pretty much every street and block of flats within a half-kilometer radius of the community centre, involving many many flights of stairs. We then headed to the pub to celebrate CJs 50th good deed.

Sign up next week here, we're are off to Antrim Allotments!
