Report written by Alex Murtough (he/him)
I have to ask.
I just must.
Do you like Sam Fender?
Because the brother (fellow GoodGymer Steve) and I have recently become addicted. And I write this not as some form of confession (who needs to confess about something so good, eh?), but because we started Wednesday evening by telling each other what we've been listening to.
And you know what?
This group of good-deeding friends have far more erudite and interesting tastes than we do. Podcasts, indie bands, Taylor Swift (the Taylor version)...
Anyway, I've digressed when I should be reporting - and reporting on a happy evening of good-deeding.
After a quick natter and a warm welcome to our newest member, Olivia (welcome!!), we took a short warm up and then slowly jogged over to an old friend of ours, More2Childcare.
Which is where we split. Andy and Matt got to assembling a new den (without instructions, I might add...); Claire, Olivia, and Marta donned their refurbishing hats and got to painting and restoring 3 wooden toys; Julian joined More2 manager Eve to jazz up the nursery's new garden room (using a very exciting looking staple gun...); and Jenny, Katrina, Sarah, and Steve channeled their inner Kims and Aggies to give the main room a sparkling clean.
After 45 minutes of building, painting, pinning, and shining we said our happy goodbyes to Eve and shot back to the Naval College for our usual post-task natter and stretch.
Nice one, guys. We did a lot in such a short snap.
