A litter pick, a garbage grab, a rubbish roundup, take your pick. This evening we entertained the denizens of Redcilffe with our picking prowess. We definitely weren't bears. We did pick six bags full but i'm rambling and i'm home now so the report must end here!
With bags full of litter it was now our turn to fill up, though we went for Ramen.
Until next time...

We began clearing the land, being told to leave nothing except soil so we went off digging, and snipping, and cutting away. The project will require much more sessions, but at least this project will keep the goodgymers busy for a while. Will be exciting to see how our efforts will be coming along. Thanks all who attended!

Happy Star Wars day, May the 4th be with you.
A quiet day on the planet Naboo (or Brunswick cemetery) as the Friends of Brunswick were having a well deserved bank holiday off.
With no one to ask my usual ‘is this is a weed or not?’ I decided to stick to the safe path and make the path safe (or at least less hidden).
Using the force I managed to fill more garden waste sacks than I thought so a quick break to the local supermarket to buy some more. Someone must have used a Jedi mind tricks on me as an ice cream also managed to jump into the shopping basket.
Back to Brunswick to enjoy my treat under the disappointed eyes of the birds wondering where their free worms were (none today).
2 more sacks filled and the path no longer looks like it leads to the dark side.
Enough of these Star Wars puns
Live long and prosper 🖖 (sorry couldn’t resist)

A morning spent snipping off and unearthing bramble risings from the meadow space on the edge of the orchard. A few wildflowers starting to emerge now and plenty of hawthorn blossom surrounding us.
A pleasant morning enjoying the sunshine before the rain predicted later
Fact of the day - briar is used in the maufacturing of tobacco pipes.

A delight to help Mr K in his garden today, by removing some old furniture and dog kennel from his decking and some cutting back and tidying up around the decking.
Mr K explained that he and his late wife had lived in Greece for 7 years and had returned home with two dogs, the remaining survivor being a lovely girl called Amber, who greeted me at the door and watched me work.
Although housebound, it was wonderful that Mr K could join me in the garden for a little bit of trimming too!

This morning we were on the slope again tackling the pesky brambles; only now we were also armed with weed killer sprays! Snip the bramble low then spray. Repeat. Accustomed now to the slope we shot up and down like mountain goats and almost no bum sliding was needed. There was also some general neatening to be done of other areas.
A quick tea and biscuit and we off for a double task day.
Congratulations to Frances on 200 good deeds today 🙂
Until next time…
