First visit to Mr M in Redland this year and boy was his grass long. So much so that there was no time to do anything other than get the lawn under control. Hopefully a follow up task will allow us to make a start on weeding and cutting back the brambles.
Lovely to catch up with Mr M and discover the latest on his new book, discuss various authors and learn about his forthcoming trip! 🌷

Another visit to Mrs P in Southmead to mow the lawn and prune an old and very tall rose bush.
Nice chat with Mrs P during the task who seemed pleased with the result 👍

Rain may have prematurely stopped play but that gave us the opportunity to make some plans for the future.
We had a great chat about what attracts people to GG Bristol, how we can improve general outreach and specifically 18-25s both within and outside the Uni sector. Visibility is key so maybe some sessions in busier places with red t-shirts on show to encourage people to chat with us, maybe with QR code so people can instantly look us up.
And the tea/decaff cappuccino/coke was good too, plus Melanie and Darren's photos from Japan parkrun adventures, of course.

Arron and Jason spent an hour cleaning the Blue Sky public art at Callington Road Hospital. There was a great level of engagement with staff and clients who really appreciated our work. We'll be back!

We met at the Clifton Down Growing Space today to make another dent in the massive pile of soil that was originally delivered, which is now but a tiny mound.
Scoop the soil into the wonderful assortment of buckets (I think we all have a favourite, and least favourite by now), carry to the beds and tip, repeat.
A couple of hours of this and a variety of topics of conversation covered and we called time. The rain held off (mostly) and a great morning to be out getting some exercise and doing some good.
Until next time…

Richard and I joined forces to help the lovely Mrs P by rearranging some chairs in her flat.
She explained that the chair that she likes to sit on by her bed was causing her pain, so we swapped this for the more comfortable chair located in the spare room.
As we were unable to dispose of the pain-inducing chair, this meant that we were also unable to relocate a the other bedroom chair to the spare room, so this needed to stay in the bedroom.
Mrs P is looking forward to getting a new bed delivered, so hopefully the old chair can be removed with the old bed, so that the extra bedroom chair can then be moved to the spare room.
