Today the gang were back at the secret garden to lend a hand with some well-needed maintenance to the green space. With the weeds taking over, we got to work clearing as others trimmed hedges and painted a gate.

Today GoodGym was on-hand to help set up the annual Book Market, hosted by Exeter City of Literature. I was there to help unload vans, put up equipment, assist vendors and be on hand for anything physical. The event was packed, great to see members of the public coming to meet authors.
Wednesday 3rd June

InExeter arranged a community clean up day in north and south streets in Exeter. Lots of students attended plus business owners and volunteers. Weeding, painting of planters and a general tidy up made the streets look much better.

Today 3 GoodGymers were out assisting Marypole and Mincinglake Allotments. Our task this week was to help shift soil from some disabled beds. Joined by some of the community we had a good chain of loading and unloading wheelbarrows, shifting the huge mound in great time!

Our task this evening was back at Belle Isle Park, clearing away overgrowth around a wildflower area.
Its great to see the patch thriving, and all the more meaningful for us since we started it 3 years ago!

Today we were out on a community mission helling to setup and steward the Feel Good Festival, hosted by Wonford Health Matters.
Such a fabulous event to be involved in, the morning started with setting up gazebos/tents before undertaking various steward posts. Highlight of the day was the bicycle smoothie maker - popular with kids and adults alike, and fun to cycle on peoples behalf so they can still join in.
