Today the gang were out helping Whipton Community Builders in a planter project.
Our task tonight was to empty the soil in order for the planters to be moved to a new home - helping free up parking spaces at the old location, and enabling safer road space in the new. The planters will be taken over by a local school and community.
Overall we shifted over a tonne of soil, and certainly got a good workout!
A huge welcome to Catherine who joined us for her first session, and a big welcome back to Isabel after months away traveling! Great job all!

Today I was helping at the Exeter City Community Trust Marathon. An excellent event, hundreds of runners aiming to make the distance. signposting, cheering, tidying was all the name of the game today. Well done to all who ran!

Tonight we were finally back supporting our friends at Belle Isle park after a long winter break. The task we had was to dig a new bed for wildflowers, move the earth and sow the seeds. A warm evening, we were also joined by 4 others from the local group, and thrilled to get the job finished! And of course a big thanks to Esme for bringing chocolate!

Today I was back helping Mrs S, finishing the heather trimming and weeding of the front garden. It was a lovely sunny day to do a spot of gardening, and always nice to see the little difference we can make.

Today Lucy and I were showcasing GoodGym at the annual Volunteer Fayre, hosted in Exeter Cathedral. The day was a great opportunity to encourage new volunteers to join the group, as well as meet with local community builders and organisations to partner.

This evening the group were back on the streets helping with magazine delivery - helping the local area to know their community and the services and support on offer. Over 300 given out on what was a nice warm and social session. A huge welcome and thank you to Esme, who joined us for the first time!
