Dan and I went to Ms B's house this morning to paint her fence. On arrival I realised I had visited before, and had done the first coat a few years ago! Three years later and it needed a touch up.
After some prep work, we got stuck in, with Dan taking the side and me doing the back. After an hour and a half in the sunshine, everything was looking much fresher. Ms B was very pleased and we headed off to clean up our paint splattered faces.

One of my regular litter picks alongside the River Ravensbourne in Deptford's Brookmill Park. There were more heron nests in use today (3) than there were bags for life full of litter collected (1), which was mainly full of beer cans and bottles.

It is a relatively frequent problem in the lovely Ms Y’s local Co-Op that the fairies are nowhere to be seen. Today I had to get on my hands and knees to check at the back of the shelf and sure enough they were to be found.

A pretty standard shop for the lovely Mr J, with one exception - some sweets which he’ll use in certain situations his diabetes. I had to wait a bit when I got there as a District Nurse was fitting a device e to monitor his blood sugar levels semi automatically. The rest of the shop was pretty standard fayre of fruit and vegetables.

First we cleared some space in the living room for a sideboard unit that is coming on Friday, which will be great as she can store all her fish tank equipment in there! Then went in the garden where we moved a broken bench out the front for collection and moved all the trees in pots to be along the fence, so we could clear lots of patio space. Ms D had also done a really nice section at the back of the garden with wood chip since I was last there, which looks great!

First task of the evening involved everyone! We had to move three water tanks to the other side of the garden. World's strongest GoodGymer (Ivar) moved one on his own and then the other two needed everyone, not that they had a metal frame and water in or anything!
Next on the list was moving some wooden pallets and then moving part of the compost pile onto them. And then the final task was digging and an area where the 100 sunflowers are going to be planted. We can't wait to see how great that looks later in the year.
After a quick tidy up of tools and a group photo it was time to head back to Glass Mill.
