With the front garden being a bit crowded it can be hard for Ms D to reach everything in order to water it. She doesn't want it to get dried out in the hot weather so today we cleared a nice path so she can access everything better!

My litterpicking session alongside the Ravensbourne in Deptford's Brookmill Park changes a lot with the seasons. Moving into summer, the herons have fledged and there is lots of growth, some of it not so positive. So in addition to a couple of sacks of litter, I pulled up two large clumps of the invasive and bank wrecking Himalayan Balsam.

The usual Lewisham duo of Adi and Paul were busy litterpicking in parks that were messier than normal. Adi was in Sydenham's Mayow Park enjoying early sun; Paul was just over the borough boundary in Southwark Park where he met up with friends from Green Runners for a post-parkrun pick.

The lovely Ms Y had a list full of big items today, including milk, washing powder and kitchen roll plus some pastilles. So it was entirely predictable that there were no buses back to hers with the shop so it was a long walk back to hers.

One of the standard items on the lovely Ms J’s shop are a pair of packets of blueberries. However, in both ASDA and Tesco the shelves were bare. The rest was able to be bought and brought home to a happy Mr J.

It's getting warmer, the evenings are light and that can only mean one thing in the GG Lewisham world - we're heading back to Luxmore Garden to keep the flower beds free of weeds!
It's an uphill run there but that does mean downhill on the way back and it is one of our shorter runs. You all handled the hill excellently!!
Our task at Luxmore was pretty simple, remove the weeds to keep the flower beds looking neat and tidy and to give the plants space to grow. The challenging part was identifying what was a weed as we didn't want a repeat of when we accidentally removed some ornamental grass...
It wasn't long because it was job done and time to head back to Glass Mill. Great work team!!
