Jeanette, Gillian, Samuel, Nick and Sam joined the great team from CRT on their work boat. The mission was to collect trash from the canal. 17 bags of rubbish collected. The usual footballs floating on the water got snaffled plus a chair, children's bouncy frame and lots of plastic bags! Mission accomplished.

Goodgymers were back along the towpath tidying and clearing away the vegetation plus the usual litter picking. Jen tackled the litter which was mostly floating in the canal. More than usual this time as the recent floods had sent the rubbish down to our patch. With Alison and Pete from CRT, five bags collected. Nick, Ian, Gillian and Mohamed set about cleaning up the towpath. Between them and CRT Rich and Nick they worked hard. The path is now perfectly clean and tidy... what a cracking job 👏 Today's shout out goes to Mohamed for clocking up a 12km run to our meet up point. Ian set off afterwards to walk back home. Great effort chaps! Thanks to Nick for the chocolate mini rolls 😋

A fabulous morning for tidying up the towpath! Goodgymers Mohamed, Ian, Nick and Jen met up with CRT Rich, Peter and Alison for a partnership task. Unusually the area was relatively tidy which resulted in 4 bags of litter collected by Jen and Alison. The rest of the gang did an excellent job clearing the leaves and vegetation off the towpath- it looks superb. Well done to Mohamed for running 10km to the meeting point and also to Ian for walking 4.26 miles!

A cracking GoodGym session as Goodgym teamed up once again with the brilliant Canal & River Trust to give the towpath some much needed attention.
The task: To clear a stretch of vegetation that had started creeping across the path. The team absolutely delivered, together they tackled around 100 metres of overgrowth, restoring the towpath to its full width and making it safer and more welcoming for everyone using the canal.
Of course, no GoodGym outing is complete without a bit of litter picking. Among the usual cans and wrappers the team found some more unusual treats a full, unopened can of Bud, a coat, and even a crop top. The canal always keeps us guessing!
The standout moment of the day belonged to Srini, who “tightened” his life jacket… by accidentally pulling the emergency cord and inflating! Atleast we know they are in working order haha.
It was fantastic to welcome three of our newest members, Gillian, Rich, and Srini. They jumped right in and were brilliant additions to the team. Shout out to taskforce member Jen and the Canal and River Trust, one of the groups favourite tasks, see you next time on the towpath!

8 Goodgymers joined up with 3 CRT volunteers to get cracking on tidying up the towpath.
Mel, Dave, Lindsay, Lynn and Julie along with CRT Pete collected between them 11 bags of rubbish. Today's pick of the day seemed to be bags of prawns (thrown into the river). Jen, Nick, Mohamed and CRT Alison and Rich worked on clearing the weeds off the towpath.
After lots of hard work the teams completed their tasks leaving the towpath looking spik and span.
Mohamed ran 11km to the task today, well done for getting fitter whilst doing good!
