Papa’s was the meeting point once again, and this evening’s crew assembled ready to put their best foot (and leaflet) forward: Ben , Fi, Libby , and yours truly, Yianny 💪🏼
Tonight’s mission? Pure, vital, community-shaking work: spreading the good word about GoodGym itself! 📣 Because if you’re going to run around doing good deeds, you might as well recruit a few more people to join in the chaos. Leaflets in hand, we canvassed the local area with the focus of a squad who takes “door to door” very literally — and we didn’t stop until every last flyer had found a new home. Mission: accomplished. Letterboxes: thoroughly GoodGym’d. 📬
Being a nice quick task, we even had time left over for the true reward of volunteering: an impromptu post-task tipple 🥂 Nothing says “we just promoted community fitness” quite like immediately sitting down for a well-earned drink. Balance, people. It’s all about balance.
Great work team — here’s to more leaflets, more laps, and more lovely little detours to the pub along the way 🍻❤️

Despite the weather doing its best impression of a furnace, an awesome crew turned up undeterred this evening: Dan (more on him in a moment), Tilly, Katie, Fi, Libby and AA Yianny 💪🏼🍾.
Huge welcome to Libby, who heard about GoodGym just ONE HOUR before at work and decided "yep, sounds like a great way to spend a sweltering Tuesday evening" — first session smashed, no regrets (we hope) 🎉. And a massive shoutout to Dan, who hit his big 5-0... tasks that is, not earth years, so still very much in his prime 😊🥳.
Tonight's mission: helping Alex and the residents of Huggins Corner Park get on top of their stone paths. We spread stones, cleared the excess, and shipped the surplus off on a road trip to the community planting garden and Palace Road nature garden — basically a stone relocation service, minus the removal van 🪨🚚.
It was hot, it was heavy, and frankly our biceps have never been more "gneiss" 😅. Rock-solid effort all round 😱🤩❤️ — see you at the next one!

GoodGym Lambeth Run Report: Flyering in the Drizzle 🌧️
Mission: Spread the GoodGym love (and flyers) across Lambeth Weather: Grizzly drizzly (aka British summer preview) Mood: Absolutely soaking in good vibes ✨
Fresh off crushing our January Challenge targets 💪🏼🍾, we decided to ride that wave of positive energy straight into… well, an actual wave of rain. Because nothing says “let’s go outside” quite like horizontal drizzle, right? 😅
But did the weather dampen our spirits? Mist- ifyingly not! (Sorry, had to get that one out of my system 🎺)
Our superhero squad of Marie (Poppins - practically perfect in every way ☂️), Noelle, and Katie braved the elements to leaf-let the good people of Lambeth know about their local community fitness miracle workers.
We may have been getting soggy, but our enthusiasm was waterproof! 💧 Sure, the rain didn’t exactly flyer us up with motivation at first, but there’s something special about delivering these little paper ambassadors to our neighbours. Every letterbox is a potential new runner, every flyer a future friend getting fit while doing good ❤️
Mission status: Smashed it (just like our hair, which was thoroughly -smashed by the rain) Pun count: Too many to count
Community spirit: 11/10 would drizzle again 🌈
Keep being legendary, team! 🦸♀️🦸♂️

Date: First group session of 2026
Mission: Christmas Tree Recycling on Clapham Common
Status: Absolutely smashed it! 💪
What a way to kick off the new year! We were pining for our first session of 2026, and boy did it deliver. The gang assembled for an absolute classic - hunting down abandoned Christmas trees across Clapham and dragging them to their final resting place on the Common.
Special shoutouts to our prodigal runners:
Our fantastic regulars were there doing what they do best (spoiler: it’s pulling up trees, literally):
You lot are the root of everything we do! 😊
After racing around Clapham like festive tree-hunting squirrels, we managed to shift an absolutely fir-ocious 38.5 trees (yes, really - someone clearly couldn’t bear to part with half their tree) plus a few wreaths to boot! 🌲🎄
We’re not saying we’re heroes, but we definitely spruced up the neighborhood.
Same time next week? We’ll leaf you to think about it! 🍃
Get fit. Do good. Make terrible tree puns. 🌳💚

A wonderful morning walk learning about indigenous and non trees in the local area alongside a litter pick.
Fun times with fun folks :O)

The days are getting longer and the Lambeth team were down at Papa's enjoying the last rays of the sun as it dipped below the houses on Pulross Rd because it was Tuesday and that can only mean one thing - Group Run time.
This evening was a classic help out our friends session so we were heading out to post flyers for our friends at Get Rid of and Donate as well as some GoodGym ones to raise awareness of two awesome organisations (if we do say so ourselves).
Four members so Manos, Tilly, Katie and AA Yianny set off on a lovely loop through Brixton and down to Brockwell Park before heading back and starting the leafletting around the Rattray and Mayall Road block.
We had a decent chunk of flyers so divided them up but by 5 to 8 we were standing triumphantly by the side of St Matthew's Church with empty hands and a feeling of achievement!
So that's it, another great task and another fun evening. Big congratulations to Tilly for setting a new PB on her half marathon the weekend past, to Katie for hitting a double session trail run + GG group run and Manos who was back for his second ever session (one of the family now!)
