What do you get when you mix seven GoodGym legends, a historic windmill, and a mountain of woodchip? Pure, unadulterated mill-ificence, thatโs what. ๐คฉ
This week, Tilly, Adam, Michael, Marie-Noelle, Nicole, Katie, and the brilliant Emma descended on the Waterworks allotments to lend a hand to Annick and Jean from the iconic Brixton Windmill. โค๏ธ And lend a hand we did โ both of them, repeatedly, with shovels.
Emma was joining us for her second ever session and her first group run โ and she didnโt just show up, she showed out, bringing the extra scoop on our Million Acts of Hope crossover. Turns out we werenโt just doing good deeds โ we were contributing to something genuinely huge. ๐ช๐ผ๐พ No pressure, but we may have helped save the world. Provisionally.
The task list was, shall we say, eclectic. We shovelled and shifted woodchip to lay a brand new path (the glow-up was real ๐ฑ), got stuck into some serious weeding and pruning, carefully sorted edible leaves from the compost (a surprisingly meditative experience), and rounded things off with a litter pick to leave the whole place gleaming. โจ๐ฟ
In short: we came, we chipped, we conquered. Annick and Jean โ it was an absolute pleasure. The allotment looks windmill-iant. ๐ฌ๏ธ
See you next week, you beautiful lot! ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ

Whatโs better than a Tuesday run? A Tuesday run where you get to haul a 110-litre water beast across South London while looking incredibly cool doing it. ๐๐ฆ
Our five-strong squad โ Tilly, Adam, Dan, Marie-Noelle, and a freshly-legged Michael (back from conquering the Birmingham HALF MARATHON, no big deal ๐ ) โ rolled up ready to get their hands dirty for the lovely Heather from Wyck Gardens / Friends of Loughborough Park. โค๏ธ
And dirty hands they got! The mission? Essentially full park glamour: lugging the magnificent 110-litre water tank (affectionately known as The Beast ๐ฑ) across to the park, plus a trolley groaning with watering cans โ because if youโre going to water, you may as well commit. Cue the weeding, the pruning, the litter-picking, and the general act of making somewhere beautiful again. ๐ธโ๏ธ๐๏ธ
Itโs safe to say Loughborough Park got the full GoodGym treatment โ equal parts elbow grease and good vibes. Heather, we hope the plants know how lucky they are. ๐ฑ๐คฉ
Big love to the whole crew โ you showed up, you grafted, and you proved once again that GoodGym Lambeth doesnโt just run to good causesโฆ we run them. ๐ช๐ผ๐พ Until next time โ stay green, stay gorgeous, and maybe stretch your lower back after carrying a small swimming poolโs worth of water. Just a thought. ๐
Run more, do more, be more โ GoodGym Lambeth ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

What a night! GoodGym Lambeth were back out in force for one of our favourite combos: a proper graft followed by a proper social.
The dream team of Fi, Ben, Katie, Tilly, Michael, Jo, task owner Nicole, and the brilliant Naomi from HTC assembled, ready to take on whatever the evening threw at them. ๐ช๐ผ
(A special shoutout to Adam, who had to pull out with an injury before the fun began โ wishing you a speedy recovery, mate! Weโll keep a weed-pulling glove warm for you. ๐งค)
The Task: Holy Weed-moley ๐ฑ๐ค Tonightโs mission took us to the vicarage, where the garden had clearly been taking its vows a little too seriously โ specifically the vow of uncontrolled growth. Weโre talking weeds. Weeds upon weeds. A veritable congregation of weeds. If weeds could form a church, this wouldโve been their cathedral. ๐ฟโช
Our lot got stuck in with the kind of righteous enthusiasm that frankly the clergy would approve of. Pulling, digging, bagging โ the whole holy trinity of garden clearance. By the time we were done, the vicar could actually see the garden again. We didnโt quite part the sea of greenery, but we gave it a very good go. Check out the pics for proof! โค๏ธ๐ธ
The Social: What Do You Meme? (More Like What Do You SCREAM) ๐ฑ๐คฉ Post-weeding, the team descended on the Tulse Hill Hotel for the monthly social, where What Do You Meme? was unleashed upon an unsuspecting group of tired volunteers. Reader, it did not stay innocent for long.
Michael appeared to have some kind of mystical connection to the card deck, pulling out banger after banger like a comedy magician. ๐ช Tilly, meanwhile, finally โ finally โ broke her duck and claimed a well-deserved round win (the crowd went appropriately wild ๐). Nicole made a late surge to the finish with all the energy of someone whoโd spent the evening battling overgrown weeds and still had gas in the tank.
As for the female sanitary products, we have agreed collectively to never speak of this again.... An absolutely brilliant evening all round. Weeds vanquished, memes survived, community strengthened. This is what GoodGym Lambeth is all about. ๐โโ๏ธ๐
See you next time โ and Adam, get well soon! ๐โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ You had to be there. On reflection, perhaps itโs better that you werenโt. ๐ซฃ

What a Tuesday evening! While the rest of London was busy grinding to a halt (tube strikes, police incidents, and the general chaos of just existing in this city ๐ ), our GoodGym Lambeth legends were already pivoting like pros โ heading straight to the task like the well-oiled volunteer machines they are. ๐ช๐ผ
And what a team showed up! The brilliant Fi, Adam, Ben, and Katie were out in force, but the real plot twist of the evening? A surprise appearance from the one, the only, the magnificent Nicole ๐พ๐ โ or possibly her AI body double (weโre choosing to believe it was the real deal ๐ค๐).
The mission? Heading to Brixton Library to join the wonderful Annick, her friend Anouck, and the Friends of Brixton Library for an evening of weeding, watering, DIY and general sprucing up of the outdoor spaces. Think of it as a glow-up, but for a library. ๐ ๐ฑ
Armed with trowels, determination and an impressive collective tolerance for getting their hands dirty, the team got stuck in โ pulling up weeds, giving the plants a much-needed drink ๐ง and making the whole space look lovely since being absolutely overdue for some love. (See what we did there? Itโs a library. ๐ Weโll see ourselves out.)
The results? Stunning. The vibes? Immaculate. The puns? Clearly unstoppable.
Check out the pics โ the space looked absolutely incredible by the end, and itโs all thanks to this lot โค๏ธ๐ฑ๐คฉ
Big love to Annick, Anouck and the Friends of Brixton Library for having us โ we had the best time and canโt wait to come back! ๐
Until next time, Lambeth! ๐๐โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
