What an absolute cracker of an evening, Lambeth! 💪🏼
Tonight’s task force assembled in style: Katie, Ben, Jo, Fi, Nicole and yours truly, AA Yianny, hit the streets — and because it was our monthly social, we got extra reinforcements in Adam, Michael and Tilly. Bigger squad, bigger impact! 🍾
We went full GG classic tonight with a Litter Pick Bingo — and Lambeth did NOT disappoint. We picked, we sorted, we scratched our heads at some genuinely bizarre finds (we won’t ask, we don’t want to know 😱), and left the streets looking significantly more sparkly than we found them. Full house on the bingo card, several question marks on the mystery items. A+ prep for game night, if we do say so ourselves. ❤️
But the real headline tonight: Katie hit 200 tasks for GoodGym. 200! 🥰 Task Force superhero, social media guru, and general ray of sunshine — Katie, we are so unbelievably proud of you. That’s not a milestone, that’s a monument. Take a bow. 👏
Then it was straight into the social — baked goods, pizza, laughs, the occasional happy tear, and a room full of the loveliest weirdos Lambeth has to offer (said with maximum affection). 🤩
Great pick, great people, great cake. See you next week, legends! 🏃💚

Big squad energy at GoodGym Lambeth this evening 💪🏼 — bumper turnout, loads of new faces, and our regular crew bringing the vibes as always: Katie, Ben, Jo, Marie-Noelle, Dan and AA Yianny holding it down. 🍾
And the warm welcomes don’t stop there! A massive GG hello to newbies Romi, Ark and Zain 🥳 — you survived your first session, you’re basically family now! And a special shoutout to Libby, who came back for another GG fix 😊 — once is a taste, twice is a habit, you’re one of us now!
Tonight’s mission: Windmill Gardens, helping the brilliant Jean and Annick tackle a jungle situation. The plastic fencing was holding back a weed invasion that had basically adopted the new whips as roommates 🏠🌿, so out came the fence, out came the weeds, and back up went the fence — teamwork makes the fence work! 🔧 There was litter picking, Ark got hands-on with watering duty 💦, and a serious amount of compost-worthy greenery got sent off to start its next life. ♻️
Bonus plot twist: Jean let slip there’s a spot of Shakespeare in the park next Friday 🎭 — not an official GG outing, but “to GG or not to GG” might just be the wrong question when there’s culture on offer. 😱🤩
Brilliant effort all round, Windmill Gardens — see you next time! 🏃♀️❤️

A small but seriously mighty crew rolled up this evening — Michael, Ben, Tilly, Marie-Noelle and yours truly, AA Yianny 💪🏼🍾 — ready to whip the allotments into shape for Valcie's community summer BBQ.
And whip we did! There was weeding (lettuce just say the weeds didn't stand a chance 🥬), edging so sharp you could've used it to cut the salad, clearing, watering, and a deep clean that left the plots looking positively bbq-ready. We even turned into a furniture removal squad, hauling tables and chairs about like it was an Olympic sport (table-tennis, anyone? 🪑😅).
Five volunteers, one allotment transformation, zero complaints about the watering can splashback 😱🤩. Valcie's BBQ guests won't even know the weeds were ever there — though we definitely will, in our biceps tomorrow morning.
Thyme well spent, team. See you all at the next one! 🌱❤️

What a Tuesday evening to be alive — and running! We had a gloriously large group join us tonight, with perfect weather rolling out the red carpet for our feet. Lacing up alongside regulars Fi, Jo, Michael, Ben, Tilly and Katie, we were thrilled to welcome back Rich and — making his Lambeth group run debut — the legendary George! 🍾💪🏼 First run done, George. There’s no going back now.
With an extra spring in our step (and an extra 3.6km each way to justify the post-run snacks 😅), we set off on a slightly longer route than usual — and the group ate it up like it was nothing.
Our destination? The Weir Link, who were absolutely delighted to have us back. And honestly, the feeling was mutual — because when we arrived, the tools and equipment were already waiting for us in the bin shed, like a beautifully organised welcome gift. No faff, no fuss — just straight to the good stuff. 🙌
Front and back, we got stuck in clearing out weeds and leaves to give the centre grounds a proper spruce-up. The weeds didn’t stand a chance against this lot. What they thought was job security turned out to be a very short-term contract. 😂🌱
Big love to everyone who came out and gave their evening — and their knees — to make Lambeth a little greener. The Weir Link were over the moon to have us, and it shows just how much this community cares. ❤️
See you on the next one! 🏃

Thunder? Lightning? Merely a warm-up act for GoodGym Lambeth, who absolutely refused to let a bit of dramatic weather stand between them and a good deed. A magnificent seven assembled at Papa’s, ready to get their hands dirty — and we mean that quite literally.
A huge welcome to Rich, joining us for the very first time! 🍾 He turned up on a stormy Tuesday evening to do unpaid weeding with strangers, which either speaks to his tremendous community spirit or his very adventurous social calendar. Either way, we’re delighted to have him! 💪🏼
A special shoutout to Fi and Katie, who stepped up as makeshift superheroes when AA Yianny was running a little behind schedule 🦸♀️🦸♀️ — safely shepherding the group from Papa’s like the absolute legends they are. No cape required (though it might’ve helped with the rain).
The full heroic lineup: Fi, Dan, Michael, Ben, Tilly, Katie and the newly initiated Rich. What a crew. 🌟
Tonight we returned to help our beloved Roses of Brixton — the wonderful Annick and Jean — giving their gardens a thorough seeing-to. We’re talking weeding, sweeping, clearing, and cleaning… and then things got avant-garde. 🎨
Yes, we laid carpet. As a weed suppressant. 😱🤩
Look, when you think about it, it makes perfect sense — the weeds get a cosy living room, which you might say is to die for. Truly the most passive-aggressive gardening technique known to humanity, and we are HERE for it. The gardens are looking lush, Annick and Jean were thrilled, and the weeds are already regretting their life choices.
Another brilliant evening of running, doing good, and laying soft furnishings in unexpected locations. See you next time! 🌿❤️

The sun was shining, the fountains were flowing, and the litter was just begging to be picked. So two intrepid goodgymers descended on the beautiful Agnes Riley park in Clapham, grabbed their litter pickers and bin bags, and filled them to brim with waste.
On our last trip to Agnes Riley, we helped mulch the newly planted hedge whips in the community garden, so it was lovely to see how much they've grown since then.
It was also great to speak with local residents who were delighted by all the developments in the park recently, and were grateful for our efforts.
