A post party clean up which involved the big task of emptying the leftover mulled wine supplies back into their original bottles. This required steady hands, precision and zero distractions - we successfully transferred every last drop, ensuring nothing went to waste, a truly grape effort!
Aside from our decanting duties, we cleared tables, packed away equipment, swept the floor and generally restored the room to its pre-party space.

We provided extra hands to help worksop participants with their creations, offering support, trimming loose ends, and assisting with the tricky placement of decorative elements.
The wreaths made from repurposed fabrics are such a lovely item to make at this time of year, but we couldn't convince the mayor to get involved, instead settling for a photo.

Another task helping with clearing and packing away after a Christmas market, this time at Morden Park House.
After packing up all the handmade items in the stall and vacuuming the 'tinsel' from the workshops we moved items from the lift to car then onto the Big Yellow Storage facility. Extra hands made light work of the heavy lifting, and we managed to get everything neatly stowed away quickly.

For tonight's group session we got sew busy helping Little ARK in their new makers' space. It was a perfect night to be indoors, especially as the rain poured down outside!
We split the team across three different rooms, to diligently sift through boxes and bags of fabric and haberdashery. Not only did we sort, wrap, and fold the materials into colour groups, but we also got busy cutting fabrics in preparation for making essential draught excluders.
Making good progress in the alloted hour, we then headed out into the rain for the soggy return run/walk/cycle but will no doubt be back soon as there's plenty more to do.
Well done team - we did sew good!

After a long day and quite a journey, there was lots to do to pack away the stall.
Organising items meticulously, getting them ready for the next market. Also clearing and tidying up the workshop tables. And some questionable folding of table cloths - the jury is still out on who actually got this right 😉.
This was a task where the help was really needed at the end of a long day on their stall for the last person standing from Little ARK team. A huge shout-out to our volunteers for stepping in and providing that essential support when energy levels were low.

Back again supporting the wonderful Little ARK team - this time with their busy wreath-making workshops. It's that time of year so making the most of every chance to get creative 😀.
With surplus fabric scraps aplenty and the clever idea of utilising old coat hangers for the base, it was a creative buzz with facilitating everyone to ensure they had the materials and guidance they needed. Some created more than others 😉.
We both felt very inspired by the end, despite being almost out of fabric.
