The Marshall were really encouraging and that made it a really nice event this week. Great effort team ๐

The final Goodgym parkrun takeover of January 2025 saw 8 Goodgymers assist a whopping total of 333 parkrunners to have a fun, safe run jog or walk in the winter sunshine.
Cricketing superstition dictates that when the batting side reaches a Nelson score (111, 222 etc) everyone in the dressing room should lift their feet off the floor, lest a wicket should fall. We couldnโt know during the event that the total number of runners would be a Nelson, but now that we do, and weโre all safely back in the warm, itโs probably best to put our feet up to be on the safe sideโฆ

4 Goodgymers made their way to Wardown Parkrun for another stint supporting the event.
Much warmer this week at a balmy 3 degrees (!!!) Sam kicked things off with the course setup, ran the event, then finished off with the course closedown ๐๐๐
Pam took on park walking duties (and photographer) while Dani and Duncan were posted at the far end of the course to cheer and encourage all of the runners/walkers.
A welcome return to "dog bin corner" brought Dunc's Dog Bin Disco to the masses with some pumping tunes to keep the blood flowing!๐บ๐๐ง
(I've used one of Den's photos...hope that's ok)

8 Goodgymers braved the park for one of the coldest Luton Wardown parkruns on record. Collectively we took on set-up, barcode scanning, tailwalking and marshalling. Good cheer, warm hearts, many, many layers.

6 of Luton Goodgyms finest, braved the elements at Wardown Parkrun today. As cold as it was the team cheered on runners as everyone did there bit to make sure this was another successful. Sam and Gail helped with set up which meant they also got to stretch their legs and complete the 5k along with our friend and fellow Goodgymer Omar ๐โโ๏ธ ๐โโ๏ธ , Gill and Lizzy were barcode scanner helping to make sure all runners could log their runs. Dani had the task of being one of 2 timekeepers and I was Ice ๐ง Marshal, alerting all runners to the large icy patch on one part of the course (supported by 3 rather large cones). All in all it was a really enjoyable task, even if it was a little chilly . Well done team ๐
