Goodgyms very own Santa Claus and five elves helped The Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley with their annual Santa sleigh collection tonight . Santa was soon ready on the sleigh, Christmas music playing and collecting buckets ready.

The procession made its way around the route attracting adults, children and even dogs !

Santa was in demand for photos and the Christmas spirt was definitely in the air.

Always lovely the help the local rotarians who donate the money raised to local charities. Ho,ho,ho!! Well done everyone

12 fantastic GoodGymmers came out to support the Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley host their annual fundraiser the Watermead Challenge, 5 mile or 3 mile race around the lake quite a few times.

A beautiful evening to be running, the atmosphere was buzzing, so many Googymmers offering their help here's all their roles-

Dave, Mel and Daniel race directors very important jobs and very weldone. Welcome back Daniel long time Goodgymmer hope to see you at Junior parkrun soon.

Mel and Lorna taking care of any last minute sign ups, Mel also took some fantastic pics at every opportunity.

Jimmy, Ashley, Jen and Katy handing out race numbers very efficiently.

Martin and Sheila handing out their running club's numbers.

Martin and Jimmy then went on to marshall and cheer on all the runners. Jimmy had also cycled from home, a long way.

Nick and Stu were on car park duty, then Nick went on to manage the funnel at the finish and Stu gave his support during the race.

David our newest sign up came along running 8k from home, after checking all the volunteer roles were taken for during the race David took on a last minute race place. Weldone hope to see you on one of our group runs soon.

Jen, Ashley, myself and Katy all ran the 5 mile race and Mel tail walked the 3 mile supporting another runner.

Wow I haven't written a write-up with so many GoodGymmers all doing so many good things, really enjoyable evening, amazing running efforts keep up the great work and doing good at the same time, weldone team.

Jingle in the rain !

Tuesday 12th December 2023

Jingle in the rain !! Five Goodgym runners helped out tonight with the annual Rotary Club Santa collection. Buckets were shaken , Santa selfies in demand and lots of goodwill and Christmas greetings given . Our very own Goodgym Santa was only to happy to have his pic taken with children and adults alike . Our Goodgym elf Ashley is now captured on 100s of ring doorbells pre warning residents that Santa was on his way . Mel, Stu and Nick eagerly shook the buckets collecting monies that will be given to local charities. Christmas spirits were high despite the rain . Merry Christmas!!

Baby it's cold outside 🎶

Tuesday 13th December 2022

Fantastic festive turnout tonight, 10 Goodgymmers came to help the Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley raise money on their Santa Sleigh. We met Santa and his Elves! I did ask Mel "Where's David?" Apparently washing his hair and beard.

Off we set around all the cul-de-sacs bringing Christmas joy to adults and children, loved seeing Katy elf skipping along. People gave very generously, the charities the Rotary support will be very grateful.

We huddled like penguins for our group pic, Sarah's favourite, then myself and Jimmy were on our way cycling the scenic route under the Xmas lights and around the Christmas tree, mostly concentrating on cycling, Jimmy gave a wonderful cycle profficenty lesson, which I was grateful for. Weldone everyone hope you all defrosted quickly at home!
