ST John's The Baptist Chruch

This morning 🌞 i headed back to the Church after my morning run to continue helping getting the church grounds ready for the Summer Fate 🎊

Today i was given 3 tasks to complete:-

  1. First task was to help clear the area around the pound which had toads jumping around the area. The wild garden has come on so well over the last few months 🌻🌼🌷🪻

  2. 2nd task was to pull up all the weeds around the patio area. I managed to get quite a lot done. Once i had pulled most of it up the weed spray was applied all around.

  3. The final task was to clear the gullies that were on the East side of the Church. In total there were 4 gullies and they were full of leaves 🍂 Lucky i had gloves on as they were damp and wet.

Once finished they caretaker was as always very grateful. 😊

St Johns The Baptist Church

This morning i headed off to St Johns The Baptist Church to assist with clearing all the gullies and gutters that were clogged up with leaves 🍁🍂☘️

I met up with Neil and Terrance who were telling me how the always appreciate Goodgyms help.

They have their summer fair coming up and have also asked if Woking GG can help with the set up ☀️

Once i had cleared the leafs i assisted with moving bags of barks around the church grounds.

After an hours work i was done, and looking to go back next week 😀

I be-leaf in miracles 🍂

Saturday 13th December 2025

Alys & Stephanie got their rakes on at St John’s the Baptist Church in West Byfleet this morning.

It was chilly 2 degrees and thankfully we’d both brought our boots as it was rather muddy underfoot.

After being equipped with rakes, a leaf scoop and black bags, we got to clearing the drains first so that all the rain were bound to get flows freely where it’s supposed to. Stephanie did a great job clearing them of mud too with the help of a trowel. She did nearly fall down a hole though!

I set to raking the leaves and getting them into black bags. We probably filled around 8 bags (including 4 very large ones) of leaves, and they were helpfully whisked away to the dump by one of the church’s own volunteers.
