3 of us popped in to Frenford Food Bank to have a little tidy up and count up after last week's picking & packing session. There was an anonymous donation to offload first, a count up of what was left on the shelves and some collections that needed to be moved from the cages onto the static shelves. We have this down to a fine art now and were finished in no time,

Everyone got there early, and litter pick was the chosen task, it was raised as an idea of litter picking towards our relatives homes as we were all located towards Hainault area. We started off towards Redbridge roundabout and halfway filled 2 bags, luckily there was a bin to empty them into and had 1 bag which had a massive hole in it, luckily we found a empty bag on our journey. When we went past Redbridge roundabout we managed to fill 6 bags, managed to find a place to dump and report, then we did a walk until Gants Hill station and called it a day.

Right in the middle of record breaking high temperatures we were expecting an uncomfortable session at Frenford Foodbank. Heat or no heat people need their food packages and everyone showed up ready to do their bit. Doors at both ends of the corridor were opened and extra fans provided which gave us a bit of airflow. Mercifully there weren't so many packages this time. As always, the mood was jovial, the team worked hard and we were done within the hour. Time for a quick break for cold drinks, ice lollys and other cold snacks until we were refreshed enough to battle the hot streets again.
Nice one Team GGR we could say we were Hot Stuff today 😁

Three of us arrived at Frenford to help offload a supermarket delivery.
There were several crates with mixed goods. As we were sorting them out it became clear there was enough pasta to fill an entire cage with the rest on another cage. Addie grabbed the pasta cage while Ed took the rest of the food with Linda dealing with the nappies and toiletries. We then took the time to have a quick count up of all the stock.
Between the three of us, accompanied by some banging tunes supplied by Addie’s Bluetooth speaker, we got the stuff loaded and counted within an hour.
