Joscelyn earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Joscelyn completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Joscelyn was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

When Peter got a plea from Frenford Foodbank task owner Genevieve for some last minute packing to be done before Christmas he wasted no time in rallying the troops from GGR. In just over an hour four people agreed to help.
Joscelyn, who is new to Frenford Foodbank, and AJ were first on scene and had already introduced themselves by the time Linda arrived. We made ourselves busy unloading some donations while Gen finished the packing lists. When we did do the packing Jocelyn soon got the hang of it under AJ's guidance and by the time James arrived, straight from work an hour later, we were done.
Seeing that there had been a mighty influx of donations since Saturday we used the rest of the time to load the shelves with James re-stacking the pasta pile neatly, AJ on her personal mission to re-oganise the shelves efficiently and the other two being really careful not to mess them up again.
There were just a couple of bags left which James was finishing off as the others left Joyful And Triumphant. 🎄

Redbridge Report written by Peter Van Tongeren
It has been a while, but this Monday evening we again had the pleasure of joining Marian, Queen of the Wanstead Community Gardeners, for a little adventure out on the High Street of Wanstead.
One of the local cafe's had been a bit exuberant in spreading coffee grinds on the flower/plant bed outside their place, resulting in the soil going more acidic than what the plants could cope with. So tonights challenge was to rescue the few surviving plants, remove the top layer of soil and replace it with fresh soil from Marians secret supply.
The lovely Joscelyn joined us for her first ever Goodgym experience (give her a welcoming cheer!) and already got acquainted with Linda & James on her way in to our base at Wanstead House, with Aj joining us soon after.
The quintet strolled/jogged down to the Cornerhouse to meet Marian and collect kit required, before setting to work sorting this poor flower bed. Many hands make light work, especially with Goodgym bringing the energy (we are nicknamed locally as Marians Muscles...). Even though the light was faded quick, the energy didn't so the job was done in good time.
After tidying up and a chat discussing the various plots and how they fared in the hot summer, it was time to leave a grateful Marian and go on our way again.
