It’s amazing what a bit of sunshine and some solid teamwork can accomplish! the team was lovely, and the energy was high from start to finish. Seeing the final result made every bit of digging worth it.

8 GoodGymers dug a pond, planted wildflowers, and made a REAL DIFFERENCE in Highgate!
Tucked and nestled away — behind houses and flats — is a special green space that's being re-purposed by the community in North London!
The Makepeace Community Garden on the Holly Lodge Estate is fast becoming a nature-bound oasis, and our wonderful group of GoodGymers are making a steady and regular difference :)
This lovely lot — Cecilia, Charlie, DaMarcus, Emily, Harvey (celebrating good deed 1001! CONGRATULATIONS!), Leora, and Luna (on their first good deed — welcome!) — caught a good-deeding wind yesterday morning!
Together they:
❤️ Dug, lined, and filled a delightful new pond!
❤️ Cut away an old weed membrane and planted oodles of wildflower seeds!
❤️ Positioned and installed hedgehog highways!
❤️ Mowed the lawn!
❤️ Planted fresh flowers and plants!
Thank you, everyone! Here's to next time!
P.S. Thank you to Cecilia and Emily for the many wonderful photos ❤️

Leora (she/her) earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Leora completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Leora was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
Sunday 1st February

Leora (she/her) has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Leora is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

The weather was kind to us as nine GoodGymers gathered at Doynton St Community Garden for an afternoon session to get the space ready for spring. We were working alongside the team from Growing Green who got us set up with gloves, shears, and shovels ready to do what GoodGymers do best - chop loads of stuff down!
We spent a bit of time exploring the area which had a bit of a Secret Garden vibe, then got stuck in. Lots of dead wood and branches were condensed down and tidied up. The pile then grew steadily for the next hour as we cleared the space.
A couple of dead trees were demolished, and a very well established bramble was taken care of to let in lots more light and make the garden safer to use. Paths were cleared to improve accessibility, with ground covering ivy being given a hair cut. A mural which had seen better days was carefully packed up for repair or reuse, and the whole garden received a good litter pick, despite some more unusual finds!
We had lots of visitors through the session, including a couple of cats, a frog, a member of the local constabulary, and a few friendly neighbors keen to see what we were getting up to. Welcome to all the new GoodGymers who joined the session, it was wonderful to meet you!
Growing Green were delighted to have the extra hands on deck - we're looking forward to seeing them again in March.
