Our intrepid team of three GoodGymers plus our host Ian deployed into the depths of Old Sneed Park Nature Reserve in what can only be described as sub-optimal conditions, to do battle with the combined enemies of bamboo and bramble. It was quite a skirmish but Team GoodGym prevailed clearing the opposing forces from the combat zone and taking the ground. No doubt the enemy will creep back and there are other hostiles all around, so we'll need to return another day to try to retain the ground won. Well done and thank you to my brothers in arms!

Fabulous progress in the Battle of the Bramble at Brunswick with Mark joining for his first visit.
Knowing his prowess with a saw at Ashton Court, he set to on a mahonia and buddleia to reduce the height and dragged his “clippings” to the growing pile of green waste for the gardeners to collect.
We also made progress on paths, de-butter cupping and chopping back some of the smaller tall grasses.
2026 is looking good in the cemetery!
