With grey skies and persistent rain the cycle bit of our duathlon was abandoned BUT we were not to be defeated!!
SKIN IS WATERPROOF
The numbers at Abingdon parkrun were, unsurprisingly, a little lower than usual but that meant that the usually rather congested start flowed nicely.
The conditions were damp and muggy, and by the end we all weren't sure where the sweat ended and the raindrops began.
After a photo with the sign (did the tourism even happen if there isn't a sign photo?!?) we headed off for a very well earned hot drink and breakfast and future tourism planning.
Well done everyone for coming and special back slaps and high fives to Kieran for his 100th parkrun!

Wendover Woods - home to the Gruffalo, Stick Man, several well marked walks and runs and, to date, my favorite parkrun.
A gorgeous one lap course through the woods, with a stinker of a hill in the middle, this parkrun was glorious! We were very lucky with the weather - blue skies and sunshine all the way, and there was an excellent ratio of dogs to runners, including our Poppy.
As usual we finished up our trip with a coffee and a chat - mainly plotting and planning our next runs and day dreaming about property in France or Croatia!
Welcome to Emma! Thanks for coming to your first (official) Goodgym session!
Dinton Pastures next month, can't wait!

On a drizzly June morning, feeling bleary eyed and under-caffeinated, 5 Goodgymers scooted down the A34 to tick off another parkrun letter.
Quakers Walk parkrun was a lovely course, mostly under tree cover which was a welcome feature with all the pesky rain we are having at the moment.
After our run we bimbled off the Black Dog Cafe and enjoyed very chunky slices of cake, tasty coffee and butter in the shape of paws - marmite butter infact. A delicious revelation for this savoury lover!
Welcome to the fold Megan!
Where should we visit next?!?
