Run report title inspired by the Boppit game which my brother was obsessed by as a kid!!
Richard and I moved 2 wardrobes from the middle room to the front room. The usual Pompey narrow doors and hallway meant a bit of angle calculation and great care not to take out the gas pipe on the way. Teamwork made the dream work and 2 wardrobes were in their new place in less than 10 minutes.
Excellent job ๐

Our task this evening was a bit different to the gardening sessions we've had for most of our Group Runs this summer. We found ourselves instead trying to drum up participants for the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon. A fab local charity, The Elizabeth Foundation, have kindly been given four charity spaces by Believe and Achieve, but they are yet to find runners to take them - enter GoodGym!
We enjoyed a windy but scenic tour of Portsmouth city centre, with new routes and areas being discovered by some members of the group. We visited Community Centres, supermarkets and Gyms, where we distributed posters and flyers. Top campaigner was Richard, who had all but convinced a gentleman at Box Fitness to take a place whilst we there!
We rounded off the evening with a cheeky drink at the Guildhall Village to toast our good work. Nice one, guys!

I stepped out of my comfort zone on Saturday 16th August. I blagged my way through the running of a cockpit experience for a boat in the Ocean Race that has stopped off in Portsmouth. Seems I can pass myself off as a fully qualified ocean going skipper!

After a last minute change of plan after our Task Holder had to cancel, we celebrated Dave's 500th Good Deed!
It was also a perfect introductory task for Ranjitha, who joined us for her second Good Deed this evening. She even found the obligatory pair of pants behind a bench!
After half an hour of picking up packaging and pruning bushes of sweet papers, we headed over to the Brewers Tap for a celebratory drink.
Nice work, everyone!

Five Good gymmers helped make up 17 crates today at the food bank. The time whizzed by with Lucy, Rob and myself out back, Fiona was on the front desk and Pat serving teas, coffees and cake.โ๐ฐ Lucy reminded me that this was my 50th GG task, where does the time go! ๐
