Good Friday and it means a special Ealing Soup Kitchen party. Today as it usually happens on a good Frdiay at ESK, its time to enjoy Easter. As bank holiday no preparation of food bags or clothing as no deliveries from City Harvest. Nevertheless, it was going to be an egg-citing day. Jacquie on the early start with Steph Ducat and time for her to wear the 50 Good deed sash as reached it last week : congrats for your determination and volunteeering at ESK. The team prepared the dining area but also the foyer where both goodgymers were assigned. Jacquie was on tea service with some hot cross buns and Steph was helping out with the set up as it was nearly time for music : was it going to be Easter hip-hop music? Sonna, one of the ESK regular volunteers and also known for her singing started the show with some lovely songs. Mind you she was also celebrating her birthday today. Then we had not only 1 but 2 choirs singing songs for Easter : one more traditional style and the other a bit more moving that some were dancing in the foyer. Nobody's too hip to hop on Easter
