This afternoon, Helen & I headed down to the Vaisakhi Mela festival to serve tea, coffee & soft drinks.

It was packed & there was lots of entertainment on offer. I however spent most of the afternoon admiring all the beautiful sari's!

We had some complimentary food which always goes down well.

Helen delivered 150 leaflets on Saturday to promote the event. Thanks Helen, that's a lot of leaflets!

Today 3 GoodGymers headed down to Woodhouse Moor to help out at Unity Day, an amazing community event.

On the way to Bedford Fields tonight we finished our leafletting task for Unity Action Day. They are putting on a health & wellbeing event for young people this Monday, so this helped promote it. Good work team!

6 GoodGymers tackled the leafleting task with youthful energy (until Christian set a challenging run pace) and after splitting into 3 teams, we followed our maps to explore parts of the local area new to some. We discovered the Hyde Park Picture House; New Headingley Club; several primary schools and churches lacking letter boxes. Sainsbury's vetted our leaflets most thoroughly...their noticeboards really do 'Taste the Difference'....All completed in an hour of beautiful sunshine.
