Brent Report written by Tabitha Skinner
Lee, Amir and Tabitha made their way to Clitterhouse Farm house on a sun kissed Monday evening .
Four months ago we had turned the compost , on an evening that was anything but sunkissed ... we were soaked !
Check out the rain soaked task here[https://www.goodgym.org/reports/bucketing]
The compost was now ready for use , so we panned it like we were in the west coast gold rush of 1840s, and bagged up the beautiful brown treasure ready for re - use in the garden. Six whole bags of treasure !

Meg, Josh, Tabitha, Amir, Karen and Pete all met at Beer n Burger on a warm evening in Willesden. Tabitha led a warm-up then Josh led us on a run 2.1 km to Kilburn Grange Park to meet Ajay from Kinsgate Community Centre who filled us in on what to do and provided tools and gloves. Josh, Pete, Meg and Amir got to work with forks digging and turning soil in the open triangular bed while Tabitha and Karen weeded the rose garden, pulling out the bindweed. The diggers really dug it doing a forking good job all around the perimeter of the bed while Karen and Tabitha were knot in a bind, pulling out an enormous pile of bindweed. It was a good turn out and it turned out good. Then Amir and Tabitha dug up and re-planted the apple tree in the kids playground. A good job all round. Josh then led us on a run back to B&B where Karen led a cool-down, then we piled into B&B for refreshments ๐ ๐ปand a chat. Full run 4.2km and a good job for Kingsgate Community centre. See you next time โฒ๏ธ

Brent Report written by Josh Stevens
With summer peaking through on a Monday, Tabitha, Amir, Samina and Josh welcomed the long awaited return of Karen at Beer & Burger. Before setting off to Clitterhouse Farm in Cricklewood.
With vitamin D a plenty, the group picked Kat up along the way and met Olympic walker Lee there. Arriving to a warm welcome and a task of ensuring the remnants of 3 tonnes of top soil dissipated across the gardens.
Gloves on, shovels ready, trimmers sharpened, and mower charged the crew took the task of managing soil like the bosses they are.
A strong momentum and turn out led to quick results for the volume of soil, leading to a few perspiring brows. Satisfied with the efforts and looking to catch Lee on the roads, the initial crew took off back to Beer and Burger for a well deserved beverage!

Amir, Samina, Tabitha, Liz, Josh. and Pete met at Beer n Burger, we were to meet Beatriz at Brent Mencap. It was Amir's first Goodgym so a warm welcome to Amir from Goodgym Brent. Liz was also returning for a one off session from the wild's of south London so a warm welcome to her too, our previous run leader. Liz did the warm up, then Josh lead the jog with Tabitha back-marking about 1k to Brent Mencap, where we met Beatriz. Tabitha briefed us on the work to do in the Brent Mencap garden. We moved the heavy garden table and chairs off the gravel area, raked and brushed the gravel, using the tools provided, covered over the showing black asphalt, swept the paths, re-distributed the gravel, then replaced all the table and chairs, in neat order. Very luckily the rain held off! Beatriz left, Pete lead the jog back and lead the cool-down, then we had a quick drink and collected our stuff from the kind B & B staff who had kept it safe for us. Well done everyone ๐, until next week.
