๐ช๐ฑ Girl power at Surrey Docks Farm today! An all-women crew got stuck into making compost by sieving rotted woodchip and layering it with coffee grounds from the farm cafรฉ. With Kate's guidance, we built one full bagโaround 1 tonne of compost that will decompose over the next few months. It was also great to welcome three new GoodGymers to the task. A muddy, productive morning with brilliant teamwork! โป๏ธ

On Wednesday a group of goodgymmers headed up to Kelly Avenue Park, where we met up with our task owner. This is the second time we've headed over to help. Like the first time, we were once again met with some showers during our task ๐ง
Nevertheless, we managed to do quite a bit. We weeded planters, cleared around trees, and cut back some weeds around a bench. And the watering... Well, the weather took care of that.

On Wednesday, we headed to Cossall Estate to help out. Alan was there to meet up and he quickly put us to work.
We split up to do a spread of tasks, ranging from cleaning graffiti off a notice board, some weeding, and moving a broken bench. In the second half of the session, we all grouped back together to clean some stains off the chairs in the community hall. We smashed out target and did over 20 chairs, well done team! ๐

The Spring Fair at Surrey Docks Farm was powered by a tiny but determined team of three volunteers- luckily, we teamed up with other amazing volunteers from the farm, gym, and local groups to get everything ready.
Together, we borrowed tables from the church neighbours, prepared spaces for the animals, put up a lot of gazebos, sorted the BBQ area, and moved hay bale seating into place for activities and visitors. The weather was amazing, the teamwork was strong, and even the animals seemed happy with the setup. Somehow, everything came together just in time for a fantastic spring fair that everyone enjoyed.
