Lewisham Report written by Dan
A group of a dozen or so comprised of local volunteers, children and a couple of good-gymers ferrying water up and down a parched hedgrow with buckets and watering cans.
We only had enough water in the container for half the thirsty sapling which had been struggling in the dry weather, but managed to water them all with the use of a piece of string, a metal bucket and the Ravensbourne.
300 shrubs later and with tired arms the hedge will have a chance to get through another few days of hot weather, and I suspect we will be back soon.
Lovely day for it. Good fun. Apologies I’m great at remembering to take photos!

Dan earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Dan completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Dan was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Out into the bright sunshine 😎 I skipped along to Luxmore Gardens and found Dan chatting with Mo. It was his first GoodGym session and he'd picked a perfect day to start. Mo explained where the compost needed to go and we started shovelling and wheelbarrowing. We’d soon finished and Mo told us about the new mural that is planned to be painted next week. GoodGym helped with the previous one. Exciting!
