Another hot evening was upon us as we arrived at Welling Library where weeds and brambles had certainly taken hold despite the heatwave!
We soon got stuck in - Sophie collected litter while the rest of us tackled the plants and prickly brambles that had crept across the pathway alongside the building and the yard at the back.
Some of the weeds stuck to us - Alice actually had green fingers!
Well done to Sophie on her 10th good deed!
The time flew by and we bundled up the sacks of cuttings, put away the tools and headed to the Nags Head for a drink and some snacks.
Well done all! The before and after pics show what a difference we made!

Three of us headed to Welling Library tonight despite the very changeable weather conditions.
A big welcome to Nayomi on her first GoodGym task - great to have you with us!
Our periodic visits to the Library help keep the grounds neat and tidy, and it was definitely time for some TLC!
We got stuck in to litter picking and weeding - with thistles and nettles in abundance!
With lots of laughter and chatting the time absolutely flew by and the sun actually came out for our photo!
Nice work team, and thank you for helping make the area look better.
Next week is our monthly visit to Holy Trinity Lamorbey School where we'll be turning pallets into bug hotels 🐛🪲! We'd love to see you there.

This was our monthly visit to Parkview Care Home.
After meeting up with Andy we headed out to the garden area. There was lots of watering to be done as everything was very dry. We also needed to remove a build up of moss from the pathway.
Some of the residents came out to give us a helping hand! It was a great workout trying to scrub the moss off and satisfying to see the difference!
A big thank you to everyone who turned up! A great effort by all!

After a run with the sun setting we met up with Jo (Annette had a night off) at the Parkview Care Home reception ready to start tonight's task.
We got stuck in making Easter bunnies and painting Easter eggs. We managed to entice the more reluctant residents to participate with egg-ceptional results! Some of them really came out of their shells!
The time flew by and before we knew it it was time to go.
