Report written by Gill (She/her)
We were lucky to have a mild dry evening for Fireworks Night and after the crowd had enjoyed the display Gill got armed with a litter picker, bag and hoop. As the crowd dispersed she started on the task of cleaning up the litter left behind. Fortunately it was not as bad as in previous years and Jackie arrived to help with the final stretch and the field was looking clean again. They also helped reunite a frantic looking woman with her lost phone, so a double dose of good deeds tonight.
Marsh Farm Futures, is a local community registered charity based in Futures House. We have office spaces where local businesses and entrepreneurs are based, community halls where local community organisations and faith groups regularly use the halls for their regular activities including dance and aerobic groups, maths and sports associations, to name a few. In addition, we have a soft play and climbing wall centre as well as a cafe. The annual fireworks event regularly attracts 4,000 people and this year's event will also host a fun fair and food vendors.
