Well done to the Goodgym members who tackled the wind for a flyering time in Whiteway.

We delivered leaflets on behalf of AgeUk to notify the residents of the services provided during this difficult time.

Thank you to Rachel, Jer, Sophie, Cosmo and Helen

Is it really flyering if it's not dark and raining?

Four runners covered most of Foxhill in the dark, handing out Age UK leaflets. Come and join us next week as we hand out leaflets in Odd Down.

Flyering and melting

Goodgym Bath returned to some flyering for Age UK, this time in the Odd Hill area, perfect for those of us which wanted to tackle a big hill before the task!!

Due to some interesting navigational directions, we managed to clock quite a few kms in a short amount of time! We managed to get every flyer posted! The flyer was an information leaflet about the financial and support services Age UK offer and hopefully it will increase awareness in Bath areas where support is needed.

As always, lovely to mix up a little bit of running with posting through letterboxes. Thanks to everyone who came along especially in very hot conditions. I think there may of been an ice cream award for that run task.

Fly me to the moon!

Pun: Anyone remember the 2015 John Lewis Christmas Ad raising awareness of Age UK? Man living on the moon. Tentative link!

Well Goodgym were out in force flyering for Age UK in Weston, Bath. The flyer was an information leaflet about the financial and support services Age UK offers and they are keen to increase awareness in Bath areas where support maybe needed. With 5 of us, we were able to make good progress flyering certain streets in Weston. We quickly ran out of flyers!

It was lovely to mix up a little bit of running with posting through letterboxes. Thanks to everyone who came along.

Five Go Flyering for Age UK!

Saturday 24th November 2018

Written by Sam Ollason

Age UK asked us to deliver flyers to pharmacies and surgeries around Bath. The flyers were advertising the services that Age UK offer and are helpful information for elderly people. There were 5 of us in total, we delivered to 10 pharmacies and ran a total of 6km!

We met at the Leisure Centre and started our delivery route along Great Pultney Street. We then headed to Southgate, making sure we avoided the busy shoppers that were enjoying the Christmas markets!

After Southgate we delivered to 3 pharmacies that were right next to each other in Westgate. We then paused to take a picture of an unusual-looking Santa!

After our photo, we headed to the top of town and delivered to a pharmacy along Brock Street and then up to St James's Square. We finished off by running to Llyods pharmacy in Green Park Station.

We really enjoyed the task and look forward to the next Community Mission!

Thanks to Emily for the inspired Enid Blyton pun!
