The annual Baffins Pond Easter Egg Hunt took place and was the busiest ever!
With the need of an extra 50 eggs from the shop, there was multiple re stocks of tokens needed. Samantha, Andy and Dave came from parkrun.
And we were quickly put to work. Tables needed assembling and cleaning after all the rain this year had flooded the container!
Then we were put to work weeding the area outside the hall. Bribed with hot drinks!!
Before the token hiding began as the queue had started to build.
The Easter Bunny graced us with their presence too!!

Team GG gave the woods and playpark a good litterpick this morning.
We took some time out to go and see the swans who have recently made their nest for this season. They were enjoying the morning sunshine as much as we were.
Samantha had a great find in some sunglasses to help with the glare. Sadly these ones had seen far better days!
We said our goodbyes and that we will see the pond again soon for the Easter egg hunt!

We covered plenty of ground this evening, accompanying Santa and his sleigh through the streets of Baffins.
We were also joined by Jack Skellington and Captain America, who were impressively in the Christmas spirit.

Myself and Dave spent a bright and sunny Saturday morning at Baffins Pond for the last BPA litter pick of the year.
The task was successful, not because of a huge haul, but because the pond was impressively tidy! We only managed to find the usual suspects hanging around the area.
The light workload left us with plenty of energy to enjoy the weather and focus on more important things, like tomorrows GSR, and truly terrible tequila puns!
The morning's biggest mystery was the discovery of a bizarre object on the path, which left us rather confused! If you know what this strange artifact is, please drop us a comment.

Dave and Aoife had such a good catch up chat that we forgot to take any task photos 🫣!! So enjoy a smiley Dave in a hairband before parkrun 😁!
Very happy to report that there was very little litter to collect around the pond today.
We saw a few groups who had donned hi-vis to help keep the area neat and tidy.
We also had the keen eyed mini GG-er Aida pointing out all the wildlife for us before she decided to have a snooze.
I collected a few fallen conkers, including one that Aoife reported was a few centimetres from knocking me out!

We interrupted lunch being served in the little woods at Baffins Pond where a family were happily feeding monkey nuts to the squirrels, rats, pigeons and crows! We paused to admire a squirrel eating whilst upside down and then got on with our litterpick.
It was great to meet Maelys on her first mission!
