Tonight 10 runners ran 2km to Somerleyton Gardens to help turn their flower beds into a wild flower garden.

When we arrived we met Pam & Cate who showed us the area that needed tidying up. Their project is to clear the over grown flower beds to create a community space for residents to enjoy.

We took gloves, tools and bin bags to begin clearing the weeds and turning the soil. Alina had a particularly good magpie's eye for finding hidden pieces of 'rubbish' rubbish, while others collected up dried grass and broken branches - filling 8 bags!

Darren and Mark took charge of compiling a compost heap, while I had the privilege of playing with Balou - the cockerpoo!

After 45 minutes our time was up, with a whole area cleared and some good before and after photographic evidence of a job well done!

We will be back again in 2 weeks to continue supporting this great local project.

High 5's to Woody for completing his 10th Good Deed this evening!
