6 Goodgymers went to the Clothing Coventry warehouse for our regular donation sorting session.
Our task for this evening was to sort jumper donations into sizes and put them on hangers ready for people to collect. With snow this morning and more cold weather forecast, warm clothing will be very much needed.

Another Saturday morning visit to the wonderful Zen Garden , lakeside allotments!!
Two Goodgymers made it there to help out Springboard ! Today Springboard needed help shifting some shale stone gravel for the base for the new cabin that will be coming very soon . Nigel and I arrived at 10.30 to meet Esther, enthusiastic and cheerful as ever, ! and accompanied by another 6 awesome volunteers. We had 2 hours to shift 2 and a half tonnes of gravel 🫣 It was tough going as we had shovel it into bags, load it in the van and take it off the other side and re bag it all .!! Ready for it to be used for hard-core. Definitely a good work out and we only just got done in time!! 🙌 It was followed up by a well earned cup of tea☕️ sitting down chatting and eating cakes that people had made . Nigel made a shortbread , and there was some apple pie 🥧. A great mornings work !! 🙌 And I look forward to the next visit to Springboard.

Seven GoodGymers came together for a fun-filled evening at the Blind Centre, diving into an exciting game of showdown! We all took turns challenging each other, and to wrap up, Chris and Claire gave us a masterclass in how it’s done.
A huge good luck to Claire, who's heading to Poland in just two weeks to compete in a Showdown tournament!

First off a massive welcome to Rahul who joined us for his first GoodGym session!
Chris and Rahul, along with Michelle got out their spades and dug deep into the conpost heap move it across a little bit.
Meanwhile Claire and Graeme raked up leaves and put them in 3 neat piles so Michelle could collect them up later.
All in all it was a fun and productive morning and we hope to go back in the future!

Another visit to the carriers of hope , 7 awesome goodgymers made it to the task tonight.. What a banger of a night 💥. No fire works needed!
It was all hands to the pumps as a lot of things needed shifting , resorting and packing on the shelves. All ready to be sent out for people when needed.
Lil , Laura , Lucy were sorting the bedding sheets , quilts and duvets. Also shredding all the old documents. Georgia was sorting out the cutlery and helping the guys. Nigel Chris and me had to reorganise the electrical shelf and make some room for everything to fit 🤞 Nigel was excellent at making space and fitting everything in tidily. !! Great to see Bose again and meet Steph ! All jobs completed on time and a good job done by all 🙌 !!

Equipped with litterpickers and giant blue bin bags, five Goodgymers made their way to two different green spaces in Coventry City Centre for a litter pick.
After a good warm up with some good (morning) evenings, we ran around a mile to Humber road green space to litter pick the perimeter of the park. This route is busy with walkers, runners and cyclists and was fairly litter-free except for some batches (rolls/barms/baps/cobs and all other variations) . We then crossed the road to pick around Gosford Green, which is a popular area for local people to socialise or play sports on a sunny day. We managed to fill three bags with rubbish, and even had time to fit in Laura's version of some Kenyan Hill reps to get the HR up. Well done all!
