It was time for a welcome return to Brook Green, where we were ready to roll up our sleeves and get stuck into whatever the park had in store for us. What we weren't quite prepared for was just how much debris had gathered since our last visit! But no pile of leaves, branches and general garden mess was going to defeat this GoodGym crew.
Everyone mucked in, clearing and collecting until we'd filled an impressive four bags of debris. Meanwhile, Maria got straight to work on the ivy wall — and what a transformation! 🌱 She cleared it brilliantly, revealing a wall that now looks absolutely fabulous. A very satisfying before-and-after moment for the evening!
But the biggest celebration of the night belonged to Matthew, who has now completed an incredible 400+ GoodGym tasks! 🎉👏 That's more than 400 occasions of giving his time, energy and muscles to help his community — an absolutely phenomenal achievement. The lovely Brook Green team helped us mark the occasion by providing some juice, so naturally we raised our cups and gave Matthew a well-deserved cheer. 🧃🥂
A fantastic evening of gardening, teamwork and celebrating a huge GoodGym milestone. Here's to Matthew — and to many more good deeds ahead! 💚

What do you get when you mix 32°C heat ☀️, Google Maps having an absolute mare 🤦, a community garden, cake 🍰 and a brilliant bunch of GoodGymers? Last night's adventure, of course!
We met outside Shepherd's Bush Station before setting off into the evening sunshine. On the way we spotted Maria, who thankfully recognised us as the red-shirted crew just as we were setting off. Good job she did, because what happened next was... less "elite navigation" and more "mystery tour of Hammersmith."
Google Maps completely lost the plot. I had a go. Matthew had a go. Google continued to insist we were apparently somewhere else entirely. In the end, Maria took charge and heroically guided us safely to the task. We officially nominate her as GoodGym's new Head of Navigation- ¡Muchas gracias, María! 🧭👏
When we arrived, Beverly was there to welcome us and point us in the right direction, where Lillie, joining her very first GoodGym session 🎉, and Jalal had already got stuck into transforming the community garden. A huge welcome to Lillie—we hope this is the first of many good deeds in red! ❤️
This lovely shared green space is enjoyed by local residents, so we wasted no time getting to work. Leaves were raked, weeds were pulled, bags were filled, and before long the garden was looking fresh, tidy and ready for everyone to enjoy again. 🌱🍂💪
Just when the heat was starting to catch up with us, local resident Linda appeared with the ultimate surprise: cake and juice! 🍰🧃 Safe to say they disappeared pretty quickly and were exactly what we needed after working in 32-degree heat. Thank you so much, Linda—you were an absolute star! ⭐
With the garden looking fantastic, we headed home... this time taking the correct route! Somehow the journey back was much smoother than the outward leg (funny that), and we made it back with no unexpected sightseeing required.
Huge thanks to everyone who came along and survived the heat, the horticulture and the hilarious navigation. Another brilliant evening of doing good, getting fit and proving that sometimes the scenic route just gives you a better story to tell. ❤️🌿

A warm welcome back to Matteo (even if the weather itself wasn't all that warm) saw us help out at Brook Green raking up the leaves that sought to bury the raised beds that gave the area such colour.
A late arrival by Biscuits saw a good bolstering of our forces and led us to leaving Brook Green a lot tidier than we found it!

Another wonderful time helping Donnatella at Brook Green with a variety of Jobs. We spent much of the time once again clearing the leaves from the flower beds opposite the tennis courts; using my favourite tools the giant dinosaur hands (or leaf scoopers) to put them into the compost bins.
We then started helping with planting some plugs to hopefully create a natural green barrier around some areas of the green before leaving before it got too dark.
Lovely to see Maria on one of her first goodgym missions with us and Holly whose trying to find a new home Goodgym after moving to London from Oxford!
See you all next time!

Welcome and thanks to Jack for choosing us to do a spot of Goodgym tourism!
Its amazing how, what looks to be a thin layer of leaves turns into a huge pile of compostable material by the end. Not only did we fill the compost bin but three seperate bags full of the stuff, with a big pile of leaves around the base for good measure!
Thanks to all for coming, see you next time!

Thanks to all who came to Brook Green to help with some tidying up on the communal greens.
We raked up many of the leaves covering the ground and ripped out the weeds that had colonised the flower beds. The strangest request I had ever faced came about where someone asked us for some of the leaves that we had been collecting to use in a jewellery advert the next day. Bringing the autumn bling it seems!
Unfortunately I picked up a wee niggle in my ankle so the group run did not go ahead, however hopefully we should be back to it this week!
