After the food bank we all helped pack down and tidy up. Food shopping was reordered for next week. I’ve tried to make lid matching easier by adding stickers. 🐭🐸🐧🕷️🦁🐍

It was a busy day at the food bank 🥫, making up 30 parcels for our local residents. Lisa and Yvonne made the food parcels with help from new volunteer Matthew. Rob looked after toiletries. Lucy and Tracey helped on weighing and the swaps table. Pat helped in the cafe. Fiona on front desk. It was good to see quite a few new volunteers today. We were still kept very busy all morning.

After the food bank 🥫 we all helped pack up. Richard packed up the food store and reordered for next week. The rest of us helped pack down out front, packing away tables and chairs 🪑, washing up and sweeping. I got my hands on the giant broom that I'd seen others have fun with in previous weeks, it was just as much fun as it looks!! 🧹

There was lots of fun and laughter 🙂 at the food bank today and lots of cans🥫🥫🥫! Richard, Yvonne and Lisa made up 27 food crates in the store room. It was good to have Richard back as he did most of the work!! 😉 We helped with collecting the order tickets, taking the parcels to be weighed and with the toiletries orders. Fiona was on the desk manning the computer as usual. Lucy was kept busy in the cafe ☕🍰, as we are still short of regular volunteers.

On New Years Eve, we were short of volunteers at the food bank, our 6 GGers made up half of the volunteers today. After the food bank, we all helped clear down. Sammy enjoyed cleaning up with the giant broom. Yvonne did lots of washing up from the cafe. The rest of the team helped pack up the food store room and re-order stock ready for next week. Happy new year! 🎉 🥳🎊

This morning’s foodbank was supported by Goodgymers as there were not so many of their regular volunteers.
Sam sparkled in her amazing jacket & head baubles, Tracey sparkled in her lovely pink T shirt. John, Yvonne, Vicki & Fiona shone with their sparkly personalities. 🤭
Fiona was on the desk welcoming the guests and taking their referrals. A quieter day food parcel wise, just 8 parcels made up and given out - John, Sam & Vicki were out the back. Tracy was on weighing duty whilst Yvonne was busy with the refreshments. Just two on the cafe today and whilst not many people collected parcels about 35 people had a drink or snack to take advantage of being in the warm.
Happy New Year!!!

This morning was full of festive fun! Firstly well done to Yvonne for wearing her ‘100’ wings!!!
Vicki, John & Sam were out the back making the food parcels up. Rob was on toiletries, Pat was front of house, Tracy was food swopping whilst Yvonne & Jane helped serve the lovely selection of refreshments.
It was a quieter week and just 15 parcels were given out.
There was lots of lovely presents donated which were given to children. A lovely warm coat that had been donated found a new home - a very happy customer!
