Kudos to GoodGymers who exercised outdoors today - there was plenty of weather to contend with.
And bravo to the clever ones who managed to dodge the worst of the weather and spotted rainbows instead!

Portsmouth GoodGymers were motivated to run, walk or cycle wherever they were, and whenever they could fit it in.
On-island; off-island; or even in Ireland... the miles were eaten up and the Get Fit mantra was fulfilled.

We had a fab turn-out for our first group run of the year, thank you all for coming on such a grotty evening!
Emily had provided us with a list of jobs to complete, so we quickly got to work.
Team Clean got to work in the kitchen and the toilets, which truly had their sparkle back after receiving the GoodGym treatment. Meanwhile, Harry and Dave travelled around the whole site cleaning down the window sills.
Team Shuffle and Shift, meanwhile, brought through some big boxes of clothes ahead of Spark's big clothing sale at the weekend. Some fabulous and interesting outfits were found and a few were purchased!

Rain, sleet and cold weather ensured we were efficent in this little litter pick. 3 bags of rubbish were collected from the palms and rosemary so a good job done!

HIVE Portsmouth asked for donations of used Christmas cards to make into gift tags for next year's festivities. They will be used for the parcel wrapping by volunteers in the shopping centre in December.
GoodGymers took down the cards from the fireplace and workplace and delivered them to the HIVE desk.

Portsmouth GoodGymers put their best feet forward to start the week with exercise.
There were treadmill-ers, walkers and runners.
There were commuters, socialisers and chocolate-fuelled guiltsters!
Some stopped for selfies, or to capture Portsmouth scenes. Some walked the dog, or took the cat to the vet. Some were on a lunchbreak or doing some errands.
There were sky-scapes and skyscrapers.
And all of it on Strava to prove it actually happened. (And hopefully all of it felt like a 'win' against the January doldrums.)
Same again next week?

A lovely surprise with Beach Watch hosting their monthly beach clean meant Team GG had a lot of help with a blustery freezing litter pick 🥶
After teasing rubbish from it's nestled resting place in the stones and grasses, we then often had to add more running to our morning as the wind whipped it away from the picker!! 💨
A couple of full bags later and we headed off to warm up!!
