A good clear out always feels good and these GoodGymers felt even better as their pre loved clothes, shoes and bric-a-brac were all donated to Sam's Place.
All sales from the shop will fund local Samaritans services. ❤️

4 keen goodgym Gardeners were ready to leaf into action and uproot all the plants from van to garden. Unfortunately due to speedy traffic all the lifting and shifting had already been done when we arrived! So we help return the wheelbarrows to the van did the crucial job of watering in the plants and hypothesising about where their final resting spots should be. A quick mission but showing people you will turn up when and when you are asked is always a positive message to spread!

First of all a huge GoodGym welcome to Harriet who joined us for the first time, she sorted and re-packed bags like a champion, she fitted right in! Tonight Anne and Molly (the dog) from Sams Place charity shop had us sorting bags of stock, tagging unlabeled items and rebagging stock. There are some incredible treasures in that store so do go give them a visit. Rosie and Maxine tackled the many many scarfs and what we termed miscellaneous by the end of the night, which included a tea cosie disguised as a bobble hat! Enjoy the photos and we hope to see you soon!

An evening trip to Sam's Place, to help them sort out all their vintage gear for their special evening sale tomorrow AND making sure everything going to the stands at Victorious Festival had a price tag on it.
We got busy with the tagging guns and once all clothes were done we moved onto handbag and shoe cleaning and hat sorting (with the odd bit of modelling for good measure). Catherine even bought herself a lovely red hat.
Katie celebrated her 100th good deed by finding an old bit of newspaper from the 1950s in one of the handbags, an interesting read & bit of history.
Watch this space for the next visit.

Today Emma and I spent time helping at Sam's Place - there were lots of other volunteers working like mad to get the shop up and running post-lockdown.
Our task was to sort, measure and tag loose fabric for the haberdashery section of the shop. Emma was certainly the brains of the operation doing the measuring and converting whilst I was on folding and tagging duty.
It was so nice to be back in the "fold" of volunteering today!
