23 GoodGymers have supported Spark Community Space with 3 tasks.

Val, Tracey & I got scrubbing to help SPARK Community Space to clean up after building works and to prepare for their 1st year birthday party. (Congratulations!)
We cleaned out all the kitchen cupboards and worktops, and dusted all the books & bookshelves.
Val sorted all the bags of coffee and biscuit selections, while Tracey found her happy place bringing order to the cupboard stuffed with plastic bags.
We rattled through our tasks and left it looking "Sparkling"!

We turned up en masse for our task at Spark this evening, with running, walking and cycling groups heading over.
Charla had a list of jobs for us to do, from cleaning the kitchen, taking down shelves, sorting donations and washing windows.
Laura and Jane were excited to test out the steamers on the glass work, whilst Aoife took Henry Hoover on an incredible journey around the whole Spark Space!
Lucy took charge of ripping down curtains, whilst Ellie and Dave were on their knees scrubbing stains out of the carpets.
Becky from Spark spotted all of the GoodGymers arriving on the security cameras and headed down to help Charla supervise us - "It was a like a swarm of ants arriving!!" was my favourite quote of the night!
Look out for another Group Run coming up at Spark - Becky and Charla have a massive clothes sorting task for us and promise the opportunity of a GoodGym fashion show after!

A big welcome BACK to Toni who has changed her job and got a puppy (amongst other things) since we last saw her.
Tonight's mission was to build some shelves for SPARK. We'd been warned that it might be like a giant meccano but with Dave's engineering brain and Jo's flat pack experience we managed to put together a total of 7 (I think!) sets of shelves.
Those who didn't want to build were able to sand and varnish some tables.
If we'd been playing innuendo bingo, we'd have got a full house for sure.... screws, holes, flaps all got various amounts of airtime. This is the real reason that GoodGym is for adults only 🤣
We packed up feeling like we'd made a good effort (& all without ruining the brand new carpet) and then Judy became Artistic Director and got us to make our logo. Larry the dog was either entertained or totally confused... much like us!
We've already had this lovely message from Becki:
Thank you so much for fun, laughter and your kindness xxx awesome group
